Conversion of an ice rink into a skatepark
Converting this ice rink into a skatepark cut running costs while keeping a riding offer open to a wider public. The scheme worked with the constraints of the building, preserved spectator sightlines and met the needs of local clubs and schools.
Action sports complex opened in 2009.
